9. Victoria & Albert

Take a break from the rainy streets of London and check out the Victoria & Albert Museum, the world’s largest collection of decorative arts and design. This Top Ten London landmark boasts over 4.5 million objects so you’ll be awed any direction you look. With ever-changing exhibits and seasonal favorites, this is one museum you don’t want to skip. Chances are you could use some decorating tips any way. Open daily 10 AM – 5:45 PM and Fridays until 10 PM.

8. Hyde Park

calling your name. Designated as a royal park and London’s largest park to boot, you’ll be entertained for hours meandering through the grounds and sitting by the water. This Top 10 London park is full of hidden surprises (like balloon carts and food stands) and often hosts events like movie screenings and yoga classes. Open daily 5 AM – 12 AM. 

7. Tower Bridge

An iconic symbol of London, the Tower Bridge has been a part of the rainy city’s history since 1886. This gorgeous piece of architecture is also a lift bridge and allows pedestrian access throughout. Experience the magic of walking through one of the world’s most famous bridges and gaze at the breathtaking views of London Top 10 landmarks. 6. St. Paul’s

Get ready to absorb some beauty, travelers. St. Paul’s Cathedral is a stunning Anglican cathedral located in the center of the city. A working church with a rich history, this Top 10 London landmark offers intricate artwork and amazing exhibits portraying the church’s story. Come get a taste of London, and not just the fish and chips. Your ticket allows admission to the sanctuary, the crypt, and the three art galleries. Open Mon – Sat 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM. 
 

5. British Museum

You know it’s going to rain more than one day while you’re in London, why not plan on multiple gorgeous museum visits? The British Museum is dedicated to human history and is bound to teach you a few things you didn’t know. Boasting over 8 million objects, this place is literally brimming with art and culture. 4. Tower of London

The Her Majesty’s Royal Palace and Fortress of the Tower of London is a ridiculously amazing castle that could only have been built for a woman. Apart from experiencing the castle itself, you can see the royal jewels or embarrass yourself on the tower’s ice skating rink. Either way, it’s a spectacular Top 10 London attraction. Hours vary by season: winter Tues – Sat 9 AM – 4:30 PM and Sun – Mon 10 AM – 4:30 PM, summer Tues – Sat 9 AM – 5:30 PM and Sun – Mon 10 AM – 4:30 PM.

3. Westminster Abbey

Probably one of the most well known churches of all time, the prestigious Westminster Abbey has rightfully earned its place on our Top Ten London landmarks. This church’s juicy history speaks for itself and in combination with stunning architecture and beautiful art, this is one church you won’t want to skip on Sunday. Plus, the abbey is over 700 years old and is still in operation, now that’s a sight to see. Open for visitors Mon – Sat 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM and Sundays for worship only.  

2. Buckingham Palace

It’s not a trip to London if you don’t try and catch sight of the Queen (and probably fail). Buckingham Palace is an extraordinary Top 10 London landmark built for the monarchs of Great Britain where you can learn about the Royal Family and explore the palace grounds. Though the building has 775 rooms, visitors are only allowed in the 19 state rooms, probably because they don’t want you carving your initials into the Queen’s stuff. Tours bookable online

1. Big Ben

It’s time travelers. It’s time for our number one Top Ten London attraction—Big Ben, the single most well known symbol of London. Soaring sixteen stories above the beautiful city streets, the clock tower is located at the end of the Westminster Palace and Houses of Parliament.  The gothic clock tower was known as the “Prince of Timekeepers” due to its superior design, and let’s be honest you don’t want to skip a clock that’s referred to as a prince. Travelers are not allowed inside but you can tour the Houses of Parliament.
